One of those days...

I went to check up on my Photographer/FB friend last night and I didn't realize he passed away?? I haven't communicated with him a long while. I met him on ArtWanted and he was so kind to send me a huge list of concert photos he had taken and allowed me to use them as references. First one I had drawn was Joey Ramone. I didn't know George well, but I want to to thank him for the support and kind words about my artwork and being so generous. I have all the emails and the list he had sent me. I am sad.  Thank you George. RIP. Heidi

Strange how you don't know someone well and it gets to you. I have many tears before going to bed.

Early last evening I was looking out the window and spotted something tiny and grey in the grass and I went outside and it was a itty bitty bushtit. Poor thing, do not know what was wrong, but it wasn't moving much and it looks like it is near the end. It moved a bit along the grass with its wings out a little, but not much. My dad went out and touched its tail feathers and it didn't move at all, but its eyes were barely open. He put seed in front of it, nothing. Maybe it is stunned? or just near the end of its cycle. Mom has a point of "letting nature takes it's course." but dad and I may try something. At least give it comfort. Many people will think.
" It's just a bird." but I love nature. Don't want things suffer.

I ended up putting it in a cardboard box with some comfort material. It was breathing shallow and its eyes were barely open and it was droopy. I put in under a saw horse so if it rained like it did yesterday (hard at times) it wouldn't get wet. In a half hour I went back out and it wasn't breathing. :(  Gave it a burial in our backyard today. Giving nature back. Before that, I noticed a bunch of bushtits flying in and made a reference to." family and friends coming for a send off."

I believe in the many years we have been at our house I have never seen any type of injured or experienced anything like this. Tiz sad. Bye Bye Birdie.
